Ramadan with kids : days 4 to 7

Day 04: Pledge à Zéro waste Ramadan~reduce,recycle & reuse !

There is plenty of activity to do with kids to learn these things! Internet is a great source of inspiration.

Allah doesn’t like those who waste [Qran 6:141]

Day 05:  We can  teach our kids the etiquettes of eating in Islam. Especially eating the sunnah way : one part food, one part water and one part air.

Day 06: Give a little Sadaqah every day.

According to Quran, Sadaqa leads into the purification of the benefactor and that sadaqa should not be necessarily be in a material form and can be a “voluntary effort”, or a kind word.Even a smile. This is in agreement with a narration attributed to the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which says “every good deed is a form of sadaq.”

And Even if sadaqah is different from Zakat, the month of Ramadan is an excellent opportunity for Muslim parents to teach their children about the significance of fasting during Ramadan as well as the importance of paying Zakat. Though children are exempt from paying Zakat, they must know about the concept particularly what it is, why is it due and to whom it goes.

Day 07: Say ” SubhanAllahi wa Bihamdihi” [Allaah is free from imperfection and all praise is due to Him] morning and evening 100times.

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, “Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?” It is `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi’ (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)’.”

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “He who recites in the morning and in the evening the statement: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with praising Him)’ one hundred times, will not be surpassed on the Day of Resurrection by anyone with better deeds than one who utters the same words or utters more of these words.”

[Muslim]

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, “For him who says: `Subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection, and I begin with praising Him, and to Him),’ a palm-tree will be planted in Jannah.”
